The cannabis industry is emerging as one of the most promising in the world. It will take place from October 4 to 6 in La Rural Buenos Aires Fairground.
Expo Cannabis Argentina is the first major cannabis exhibition in the country and is intended as a meeting place for stakeholders. It will take place from October 4 to 6 in La Rural in Buenos Aires city.
Over 3 days, 25 thousand people will be able to visit stands, meet and access the best national and international cannabis products and brands. All attendees will be able to compare and buy, from medical and cosmetic to culture and technology items. There also will be conferences and workshops with local and global professionals from the industry, health, science, culture and farming area.
The fair will launge the latest in scientific research, the progress in therapeutic relief, regulation affairs, technology development for farming and economic opportunities of a growing industry. In order to expand self-cultivation, there will be workshops to learn how to grow, process oils, creams and food.
During its 3 days, Expo Cannabis Argentina it will be available medical and legal advice points for all attendees so that they can consult their doubts and receive guidance on health and law affairs. There will also be live art shows, exhibition of scientific papers and posters and meeting points with NGOs.
One of the main purposes of Expo Cannabis Argentina is to accompaign the local development of the cannabis industry. In that sense, a special event is developed in an exclusive environment for the comercial and business sector. Attendees will be able to find the key agents of the professional ecosystem, establish and promote contacts and agreements between the most important distributors in the country, owners of local brands and also of international brands that are joining the country, as well as manufacturers and suppliers.
About the cannabis industry
The emerging cannabis industry is one of the most vigorous, pushful and diversified in the world, including medicinal products, cosmetics, specialized gastronomy, food, soft drinks and beer, technological devices for the cultivation and use, building materials, stationery, textiles, design products, handicrafting, among other thousand of products that are made with cannabis as raw material.
In the United States, the cannabis industry has generated 27 billion dollars in 2017 and created over 300 thousand registered jobs last year. In Argentina, more than 200 commercial stores specialized in cannabis articles and inputs for cultivation have been created, while hundreds of companies produce these materials, generating work and paying taxes. In addition, cannabis has widespread scientifically proven medicinal uses and many others are under research. There is a particular interest in potential fields as chronic and acute pain, fibromialgia, migraine, osteoarthritis, insomnia, autism spectrum disorder, refractory epilepsy, depression, lupus, asthma, anxiety, glaucoma, schizophrenia, psoriasis and inflammations.
As a highlight, the medical use of cannabis has been legalized since since March 2017 in Argentina when Law #27350 was approved allowing the use of cannabis derivatives to patients who have a regular medical prescription.
On the other side, the cultivation of household cannabis is a worldwide phenomenon that has already generated a culture related to nature and a gourmet taste. This boom in self-cultivation generated a great demand for gardening products specialized in cannabis that allowed the emergence of new manufacturers, distributors and traders.
