Buenos Aires, November 26th. John Deere Argentina (JDA) was granted with the “Excellence Farming Award” from financial entity Banco Galicia and the national newspaper La Nacion as “Better Industry of Farm Machinery”.
“To receive this award is very satisfying to John Deere, because our company adds 60 years of continuous production in Argentina, accompanying our farmers, convinced of their potential”, the chairman of JDA, Gastón Trajtenberg, opined in a press release.
“In the last years, but particularly during 2018, JDA had reaffirmed its commitment with the local industry, investing in new lines of production, the expansion of our factory, the inauguration of a new spare parts distribution center, a new training center and a new last generation laboratory. It’s a proud and a pleasant responsibility to be awarded by these issues. Every day John Deere works close together with the Argentinean farmers, with large expectative in the future of the local farming”, Trajtenberg stressed.
The 2018 milestones
This year, JDA reached the fabrication of the engine number 300,000 in its factory in Granadero Baigorria, Santa Fe province. In this factory, JDA produces engines in a range from 44 to 365 HP, for using in combines, tractors, generators, and irrigation and construction equipment.
This year, JDA launched its Serie 5E tractors, ideal for use in livestock and spraying activities, and started the production in Argentina of its Serie 7J tractors, ideal for using in farming activities, because its power range goes from 200 to 230 HP.
But the acquisition of self-propelled sprayers leading company PLA and the fiber-carbon accessories producer King Agro were two relevant news for the local farming.
