A report by the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange raised the estimate of soybean harvest by 1.4 million tons to reach a production of 54.4 million tons.

Currently, 68.5% of the 17.4 million hectares planted with soybeans are in good condition, thanks to the good weather during the campaign.

The entity reported that future increases are not ruled out depending on the evolution of the crop and rainfall during the coming weeks.

On the other hand, the maize crop destined for commercial grain is already located in 1% of the 6.3 million hectares planted. The very good performance expectations also allow the production projection to be raised to 50 million tons for the 2019/20 campaign.

Finally, the sunflower harvest has already advanced over 36.2% of the area and, due to good yields; an increase of 200,000 tons in the projection of production is estimated, taking it from 3.2 million tons to 3.4 million tons.
